On Monday, October 16, 2023, a large group of people gathered at the Iowa Memorial Union to protest an anti-trans lecture sponsored by a far right student organization.

The protest was peaceful. No property was damaged. The only violence that took place that night was officers from The University of Iowa Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department pushing and grabbing protesters.

No arrests took place at the protest.
